As usual we had a very busy holiday season in both Telluride and Mountain Village and lately we’ve seen plenty of blue skies and some beautiful afternoons up on the mountain.
Earlier this week Gus Kenworthy, one of Telluride’s local freeskiers, qualified for the Sochi Olympics. Kenworthy secured a spot on the first US Olympics team for slopestyle freeskiing. He also has a chance at the halfpipe team. Everyone’s excited for him and wishing him luck next month and there are sure to be a number of viewing parties around town.

With the final numbers tallied for 2013, real estate sales in San Miguel County were down just slightly from 2012 with some very strong segments of the market and others that under performed. All in all the county was 6% behind last year in terms of dollar volume of transactions and 8% behind 2012 in number of sales.
