Spring has arrived in Telluride and the weather and skiing is fabulous with more snow in the forecast through Friday.
Real estate activity has been brisk, with Telluride Consulting reporting dollar volume of sales up 52% over 2013 through February and up 7% in number of sales for the same time period. Included in these numbers was a $3M home sale in Elk Run, an Element 52 condominium sale in Telluride and two home sales in Mountain Village. Since then, we’ve seen Oprah re-invest in our area with the purchase of a large, $10.85M parcel of land in Mountain Village. Additionally three more homes have contracted in Mountain Village and two others have gone to contract in Telluride. Condo sales in both towns remain strong as well.
